Sky Adams, the boy I liked and probably will love forever. There was no specific moment to when I started liking him. We both were in high school when I first ever talked to him; I had heard about him from some of his friends but had never talked to him until the 12th of August at a common friend’s house. That was the first time we ever talked to each other…and that’s where we got to know each other, more like “I started to know him”. Time passed and gradually we became friends, till he started to take over my mind.
It was the term break of that year, in which I started liking him. The time I spent with him kept replaying in my head mind and he kept coming in flashbacks in my mind. It was my birthday month and I invited him to my birthday party. That’s when Sky told me that he liked me. It was hard to believe the reality at first but then, it was true, the guy I loved had loved me back.
Things were going good between us for five years, he pursued engineering while I went on to pursuing the teaching profession, in the last year of our college life my parents came to know about us, and unlike his parents, they were not quite happy about us and tried to separate us, Sky tried to convince my parents but it was of no use. My parents were worried about my future with him, they thought he might not be able to keep me happy, I tried to convince them by telling them that he will keep me happy no matter what and that I want to spend my life with him no matter how broke we become and that staying with him is what makes me happy, but my parents were not convinced at all. After that Sky went away without saying a word. He left without giving me a good reason for his sudden disappearance.
Today I have a daughter named Aura. Three years after Sky leaving me I got married and now I have been married for 5 years, Aura is 4 years old and is just like her father, Sky. At that time Sky left without saying anything so that he could prove to my parents that he is capable of keeping me happy. He took up a job, saved up money bought a house and even got a promotion in the two years that he had worked. After he came back, he came to our house and asked my hand in marriage, with his commitment towards me; Sky won my mom and dad’s trust and confidence. Even now when I think about those moments it just brings a smile on my face. After all “happy endings” do exist.
